ALL THINGS PRAYER

Being a Praying Church

God invites us to ask him for whatever we need. Jesus told us to ask, seek, and knock. The Bible says we don’t have because we don’t ask. So, as disciples of Jesus, let’s diligently ask.
Praying Through P.O.W.E.R.

If prayer is a challenge to you, use the P.O.W.E.R. acronym as a tool to help you grow in this area. At the beginning of group meetings, and during your individual prayer time, devote approximately one minute in prayer to each category:
Praise and Thanksgiving: Praise focuses on God’s character and attributes – “who God is. Thanksgiving focuses on “what” God has done.
Others: Pray for the needs of others by name.
Westwood: Pray for Westwood’s ministries and groups.
Ears to Hear: Pray that you, your loved ones, your friends, our church officers will be attentive to what God is saying.
Round the World: Pray for needs and crises beyond the church.
