Parish nurses combine their medical knowledge with their love of Jesus to promote physical, spiritual, emotional and mental well being. We are available to take blood pressure, give simple health counseling and referrals.
Besides sponsoring the programs listed below, we also maintain the first aid kits around the church and provide educational articles for the newsletter.

Angel Care Team

The Angel Care Team always welcomes new members to our group. As an “Angel”, you are matched with an elderly member, we call our “Care Partner”, who may not be able to attend church as often as they would like. Angels regularly contact their care partner by visiting, sending cards, calling, praying and also communicating with their family members. Holidays are made special by making and delivering special gifts to the care partners.

CPR Training

Every two years the parish Nurses sponsors training sessions for CPR and AED training. The church staff, nursery staff, ushers and Parish Nurses are encouraged to take the training. Other members of the church may register for the class for a small fee.

Meals to Go

When someone comes home from the hospital, a Meals-to-Go team member takes them a meal. Two members are signed up for two-week periods, to be on-call for when the need arises. We are always looking for great cooks to be part of our team!

Medical Equipment Borrowing Closet

The Parish Nurses maintain a medical equipment closet for anyone who needs special equipment after an illness or surgery. We collect and share a variety of walkers, canes, shower chairs, stool risers, wheelchairs, and more. Items can be signed out for use, then returned when not needed anymore.
