Since May 2008, The Stewpot has been the sole meal provider at The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center. They Serve 1,000 meal per day, 7 days per week. The Stewpot offers a safe haven for homeless and at-risk individuals of Dallas. They provide resources for basic survival needs, as well as opportunities to start a new life. For 20 years the Stewpot also supported the children and families of nearby City Park Elementary. The school closed but the program goes on with an expanded criteria. Saturday Kids’ club, Junior Crew and Venturing Crew are designed to meet ongoing education needs of children at-risk.
